About Clear Steps Plus Education

Established in 2018, Clear Steps Plus Education Ltd (CSPE) provides specialist alternative provision, private tuition, and education consultancy services with a dedicated focus on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are passionate about providing flexible, compassionate, and neurodiversity-aware education for children aged 8 to 18 who are not currently accessing mainstream or special school settings.

Our Story

The founders of CSPE are like-minded colleagues and friends who came together to support children in achieving their full academic potential. Our team brings years of teaching experience across primary and secondary schools in the Northwest, having worked as classroom teachers, senior leaders, and Specialist Leaders in Education.

Crucially, both our directors and several of our staff members have first-hand experience as parents and teachers of neurodiverse children who have faced significant struggles in mainstream education. This lived experience, combined with our professional expertise, drives our deep commitment to offering realistic, compassionate, and impactful solutions for the families and schools we work with.

Our Mission & Philosophy

We bridge the gap between mainstream and SEND schools by providing high-quality alternative provision for Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) and Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) learners.

Our ethos is underpinned by the principle of “regulation before expectation”. We believe that learning can only occur when a child feels safe, regulated, and understood. Therefore, our provision focuses on:

Our Standards

CSPE is fully OFSTED registered and compliant, maintaining strict safeguarding checks, insurances, and policies. We only work with outstanding, dedicated professionals. All of our academic sessions are delivered by fully qualified, enhanced DBS-checked, and experienced teachers, supported by a SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who delivers mentoring and wellbeing sessions.

We strive to create a truly inclusive environment where children with SEND can achieve their full potential, look forward to their futures, and feel celebrated for exactly who they are.
